Regular Monthly Board Meeting
Tuesday, November 12, 2013
8:00 P.M.

The meeting was called to order at 8:02 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson. Verification of Proper Notice was given. After a minor change of the word “Town” to “County”, Dan Truttmann move to approve the October minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report– Ann presented the Budget vs. Actual Budget report from January through October, 2013 and also a Profit & Loss Statement.

Bills– Wayne Bue and Nancy Anderson presented bills to be paid. Dan Reeson move to approve current bills, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.

Patrolman’s Report– Wayne has finished mowing for the season and readying equipment for the winter season.

Driveway Permit Application-Donald Friedrich- Dan Truttmann move to approve a driveway permit application for Donald Friedrich, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried. $1800.00 collected.

Plan Commission-Website Information- Since no representative from the Plan Commission was able to attend the Board meeting, information concerning their meeting was emailed to Board members. The database for tracking dwelling unit allotments is ready to be added to the Town website. However, before that happens, there are other concerns about first making the website more organized with all the latest versions of local ordinances, forms, and correcting or updating certain information, and archiving other items. The Board divided up the concerns and hopefully the fixes to Nancy, Dan T. and Todd Carlson.

Public Comments– Nancy presented old maps of York and Green County to the Board, which were donated by Dick and Marilyn Jaeger. They will be displayed in the York Town Hall for all residents to view and enjoy.

Old Business

  • Banking Information and Signatures- Ann Carlson presented The Bank of New Glarus bank account applications for Dan Reeson and Nancy Anderson to sign.

New Business

  • Victoria Solomon, Green County Extension Agent- Miss Solomon introduced herself to the Board, and told the Board of all the services and opportunities the UW Extension provides to Green County. She also invited us to join the Green County Leaders where valuable skills can be learned which, in turn, can enhance community organizations.
  • Resolution in Opposition to SB349 (Relating to Regulation of Nonmetallic Mining)- After reading through the resolution, Dan Truttmann resolved to approve resolution SB349, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Resolution approved.
  • Approach Panels for Poplar Grove Road Bridge- Dan Truttman move to approve the addition of approach panels to the Poplar Grove Road Bridge at 10% of the total cost, or $1274.50 to be paid by the Town, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.
  • Town Levy Adjustment- A clerical error has reduced the Town Levy by $1027 for the 2012 payable in 2013 budget. That amount will be recaptured in the 2013 payable in 2014 budget.
  • Budget Planning- Ann Carlson presented preliminary figures for the coming year’s budget to the Board. Several adjustments were made, and the budget will be prepared for the November 19th budget hearing.
  • Blanchardville Fire & EMS contracts- Contracts for the Blanchardville Fire Department and Ambulance services for 2014 were signed.
  • Driveway Refund-Jerry Dahlen- Steve Hermanson move to refund $1000.00 to Jerry Dahlen, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried. Driveway Refund-Steve Hermanson- Dan Reeson move to refund $1000.00 to Steve Hermanson, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.

Dan Reeson move to adjourn the meeting, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
