Annual Town Board Meeting
April 19, 2011
The Annual Town meeting was called to order at 8:02 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson and Clerk Nancy Anderson, along with four concerned citizens. Verification of proper notice was given.
The minutes from the 2010 Annual meeting were read. Dan Truttmann move to approve the minutes, Dan Reeson 2nd. Motion carried.
The annual financial report was distributed. Ann Carlson walked the electors through our past and present budgets, indicating that the Town was also attempting to reduce the monies for driveway refunds by having citizens request a final inspection.
The concrete construction for the salt shed was completed at the end of 2010. The actual structure was completed this year, so the expenses for the shed were spread over two years, the concrete work being under $20,000.00. Electrical service has been installed. The only things left are to seal the floor and putting plywood on some of the inside wall area to protect the steel from corrosion. The total cost will be around $35,000.00.
The town is making semi-annual payments on the Freightliner truck and will continue for four more years. In the meantime, the Town is setting monies aside for another truck in a few years.
Curt Moen move to approve the annual report, Dick Jaeger 2nd. Motion carried.
The board will be making a town road inspection with Green County next Monday, April 25, 2011 and repairs will be decided at the May Town Board meeting. Also, before 2012, all road signs will need to be checked for reflectivity and replaced if need be.
Don Anderson resigned from the Plan Commission. Two new members are needed. Also one is needed for the Rural Land Conservation Committee. A recruiting article will appear in the local newspapers and also on our website.
The Annual Open Book will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. The Board of Review will be on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.
A County redistricting meeting will be held this coming Tuesday, April 26th at the Courthouse at 2:00 P.M. Our Supervisory District 25 may be changed slightly to include a portion of the Town of New Glarus due to the results of the 2010 census.

Hermanson move to hold the 2012 Annual Town Meeting on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 8:00 P.M., Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.
Dick Jaeger move to adjourn the meeting, Curt Moen 2nd. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
