2012 Public Hearings and Annual Town Meeting
April 17, 2012 – 8:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson were all present along with citizens Dick and Marilyn Jaeger, Eric Peterson, Sandra Bubenzer and Curtis Moen. Verification of proper notice was given.

Ordinance to Extend Town Officer Terms in Response to Election Law Changes
After reading through the ordinance to extend officer terms for one full week in April of 2013 to coincide with new election law changes, there was no discussion. Marilyn Jaeger move to adjourn the public hearing, Curt Moen 2nd. Motion carried.

Amend Ordinance #11-1 Driveway Permit Ordinance
There is a $500.00 nonrefundable fee collected on a driveway permit which goes into the Land Conservation Fund. There is an additional $500.00 nonrefundable fee collected when applying for a building permit. In other words, fees for a new home would be $1000.00. The Board is considering eliminating the fee for the Driveway Permit. Dan Truttmann pointed out that the Plan Commission is trying to build up a reserve fund, the Land Conservation Fund, for rural land, but right now, or course, development is slow. Another thought is that farm driveways or other business driveways, do not have the same impact on the Town as residential developments, so maybe those permits could be exempt from the additional $500.00. Curt Moen stated that the PC sent the recommendations to the Board and the Board did accept them, and Curt would like to see the ordinance stay as it is. Steve Hermanson, on the other hand, would like to see the $500.00 removed from the Driveway Permit. After some discussion, Curt Moen move to adjourn the public hearing, Eric Peterson 2nd the motion. Motion Caried.
Annual Meeting
- The minutes from the April, 2011 Annual meeting were read by the Clerk. Dick Jaeger move to accept the minutes as presented, Curt Moen 2nd. Motion carried.

Carlson presented the annual financial report and answered questions.
Old Business
- Dick Jaeger would like to see the Plan Commission minutes on the website.
- Dick and Marilyn Jaeger offered to explain the parcel tracking system they had prepared a number of years ago to the Plan Commission, to give them a starting point for actually tracking future land divisions.
New Business
- Dan Reeson received word that a bridge on Poplar Grove Rd. will be replaced this year by the County with a culvert or two.
- Steve Hermanson move to hold the 2013 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, Marilyn Jaeger 2nd. Motion carried.
Adjournment
Curt Moen move to adjourn the annual Town Meeting, Dick Jaeger 2nd. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 8:55 P.M.
