Town of York
Annual Town Board Meeting
Tuesday, April 18, 2017

Installation of Officers– Each newly elected officer stood and recited the Official Oath, followed by a congratulatory hand shake from Chairman Dan Reeson.

Call to Order/Roll Call– The meeting was called to order at 8:05 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Tim Czerwonka, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson along with citizens Debbie Fairbanks and Kelly Hermanson.

Minutes of April, 2016 Annual Meeting– Nancy read the minutes of last year’s annual meeting. Steve Hermanson move to approve the minutes as read, Ann Carlson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report– Ann presented the 2016 financial reports, noting the large capital expenditures in 2016 for a new truck, tractor and tractor mower, and also listed the changes for our 2017 budget.

Discussion /Comments on Various Matters– Dan Reeson spoke about Wayne Bue working as our part time patrolman. Basically he maintains all of the equipment, does road repairs and mowing, and does all duties as he had done in the past with the exception of snowplowing. We have two men who perform that task. Nancy expressed to the Board that problems continue at the recycling center. Five reprimand letters have gone out so far this year. Some citizens are not recycling, while others are tossing trash into the recycle bins and recycles into the trash bins. It is a difficult task for Cindi and/or Kim to efficiently supervise each and every load that comes into the center. The Board will ask April Prusia, our Wednesday, summer hours supervisor, if she would be available to help supervise temporarily to bring our citizens back into compliance.

Schedule 2018 Annual Meeting– Ann move to schedule our 2018 annual meeting for Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 8:00 P.M., Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Adjournment– Steve Hermanson move to adjourn the meeting, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:20 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Anderson, Clerk
