Town of York
Regular Monthly Board Meeting
February 14th, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson were all present. Verification of proper notice was given. Dan Truttmann move to approve the January meeting minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report

Ann Reviewed the budget with the Board and then the January 2012 Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual.

Bills

Dan Truttmann move to approve the current bills, Dan Reeson 2nd. Motion carried.

Patrolman’s Report

Wayne needs to cut brush and tree branches on York Center Rd. Hiring Green County for half a day may be the best solution. A “stop ahead” sign is needed on Drammen Valley Rd.. The display on the tractor radio is not working and needs to be replaced.

Plan Commission

John Krebs of JSD Profesional Appraisal Services came before the Plan Commission with a certified survey map (CSM) of the Scott and Marla Lind property. It turns out that the existing Land Division-Development Ordinance covers any questions about development of the parcel with the Town of York, and unless Green County has issue with this, the PC sees no problem in removing Note 4 from the CMS project # 1-4901. Steve Hermanson move to affirm the Plan Commission findings on the Scott and Marla Lind Property, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried. Chip Hankley continues to work on tracking parcels in the Town. Green County’s tracking records only date back to 2010. It’s possible that student interns may be hired to research records at the Court House.

Old Business

Billboard Ordinance– Dan Truttmann move to approve the Billboard Ordinance, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.

Annual Newsletter– As soon as several more articles are produced, the newsletter will be ready for mailing.

New Business

Ordinance to Extend Town Officer Terms in Response to Election Law Changes-Due to the new law that changes the date for the final certification of the local canvas and the extension of time for possible recount petitions, it becomes necessary to change the start of the new term of office for town officers from the second Tuesday in April to the third Tuesday in April. An ordinance will be prepared for this change. Dan Reeson move to have a hearing for the upcoming ordinance on the same evening as our Annual Meeting in April, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.

Adjournment

Steve Hermanson move to adjourn the meeting, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 9:35 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Anderson, Clerk
