Regular Monthly Board Meeting
Tuesday, April 10th, 2012
8:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson. Verification of proper notice was given.
Approve March Minutes– Dan Truttmann move to approve the March, 2012 minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report
Ann Carlson presented the Treasurer’s report for the Board to review.
Bills
Wayne presented bills for blades for the grader and sign posts, Dan Reeson had a bill for stone and gravel for Herme’s Lane for $1049.00. Dan Reeson move that Wayne Jeglum pay $525.00 of the bill, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Dan Reeson move to approve all the bills, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.
Patrolman’s Report
Wayne continues to cut brush. He graded a driveway for Dale Stampfli, and a bill will be mailed out for the service. The Town Board will do an inspect of roads on Monday, April 16th at 9:00 A.M.
Plan Commission
Curt Moen came with information about tracking land parcels. The Plan Commission has determined that each taxpayer should have a folder with all parcels accounted for. This will help to determine and track density units. Students and/or local citizens will be asked to volunteer to help set up a tracking system. The year 2004 will probably have to be the starting point for tracking.
The Board received an application for membership on the Plan Commission from Terri Nipple. Steve Hermanson move to approve Terri for the PC, Dan Reeson 2nd. Nancy will notify her. Kelly Hermanson‘s term expires this month.
The Board also did a final review of the Farmland Conservation Map.
Old Business
Dan Truttmann had contacted Rock Disposal from Beloit for our waste removal needs. They are recommending a trash compactor. This will be discussed further, and other companies will also be contacted.
New Business
Road Repairs– A road inspection will take place on Monday, April 16th at 9:00 A.M. The roads needing improvement will be determined at the May Board meeting.
Landscaping– Dan Truttmann and his wife Shelly walked the grounds around the Town Hall and developed some ideas as to the type of trees and shrubs that would serve our purposes and be mostly maintenance-free, such as arborvitae, flowering crab, and possibly a maple or poplar or two. Dan Truttmann will contact area landscapers to get estimates for the work.
Driveway Permit– John Timura- Mr. Timura did not appear before the Board for his permit.
Adjournment– Dan Truttmann move to adjourn the meeting, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:55 P.M.
