Plan Commission– Resolutions to Parcel Tracking Anomalies-Brian Bubenzer, Heidi Hankley, and Todd Larson attended the York Board meeting. At their August meeting, the Plan Commission addressed four anomalies , that of (1) names being slightly different because of the use or non-use of a middle initial, (2) co-ownership (usually husband and wife) on one parcel and single ownership on another, (3) a minor variation in a name (possibly a maiden name), and (4) parcels that meet at a corner and share less than the 66 feet of common boundary called for in the Land Division Ordinance (Section 6: Definition, see definition of “Contiguous”). There were ten (10) land units that fit into the four anomalies. If the Board agrees then Chip Hankley can amend the maps which would be followed by a public comment period. How this will happen has yet to be determined. The other concern is how to keep this database up to date in the future making sure that there is a secure backup system for this information.
Old Business
- Recycling Citations– Dan Truttmann brought information concerning collection of forfeitures. The Board is not certain what it could or should do to help citizens comply with the recycling ordinance.
- Public Comments– Resident Kevin Carlson questioned what the real problem is at the recycling center, and why the Board was concerned about issuing citations. The biggest concern is that more items are now being accepted for recycling, but some citizens continue to throw those items into the trash bins rather than recycling them.
New Business
