Regular Monthly Board Meeting
December 10, 2013
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson. Verification of proper notice was given. Dan Truttmann move to approve the November meeting minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer Report– Ann Carlson presented the monthly financial reports for November. We had received our final shared revenue payment for this year.
Bills– Nancy presented a list of bills to be paid, including those for both our fire departments and EMS services.
Patrolman’s Report– The patrolman was not present, but Dan Reeson said that Wayne had asked to purchase a space heater for the shed in the amount of $149.00.
Plan Commission– No report on the plan commission.
Public Comments– Nancy noted that the Town is not paying enough on mileage reimbursement based on the IRS code and should be updated.

New Business
- Approve Budget– A few minor changes were made to the proposed budget, then Dan Reeson move to approve the budget as amended, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.
- Appoint election officials for the 2014-2015 term –(Dorothy Peterson, Marilyn Jaeger, Kit Foley, Terri Nipple, Sue Watrud, Marlys Reeson, and Susan Dumbleton)- Dan Reeson move to approve the appointment of said election officials, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.
- Resolution for number of poll workers assigned to each election– Wisconsin State Statute 7.30 (1) states “There shall be 7 inspectors for each polling place at each election. Nancy presented a resolution which would allow the Town Clerk to appoint the number of election officials appropriate for any given election, which generally is 3, but could be 5 for a well attended election. Dan Reeson resolved to authorize the Town Clerk to determine the number of election officials at all elections in the Town of York, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Resolution carried.
- Don/Bonita Friedrich $500 land conservation fee on building permit– The Board reviewed Building Permit Ordinance #10-3, section 7 which clearly states that in addition to standard building permit fees, a $500 fee will be collected on all building permits for a new residence and deposited in the Rural Land Conservation account.
- Wage Increase for Patrolman– Dan Truttmann move the increase the primary patrolman wage from the current $18.75 per hour to $19.25 per hour, Dan Reeson 2nd. Motion carried. Dan Truttmann move to increase the part time patrolman wage from $14.25 per hour to $14.65 per hour, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.
Adjournment– Dan Truttmann move to adjourn the meeting, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
