Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting
April 14, 2015
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson were all present along with Patrolman Wade Jones and soon to be 1st Supervisor Tim Czerwonka. Verification of Proper Notice was given. Steve Hermanson move to approve the March minutes, Dan Truttmann 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report– Ann presented the March financial statements noting that there was little activity for the month, but the Town did receive $2477.94 reimbursement for the present Poplar Road Bridge replacement.
Bills– Nancy presented bills to be paid for the month. Dan Reeson move to approve the bills, Dan Truttmann 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Patrolman’s Report– Wade reported that some repair work needed to be done on the trucks, and the John Deere tractor bucket needs be sandblasted and repainted.
Driveway Permit– Rhett Zaretzke (Sawmill Road)- Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway application for Mr. Zaretzke, Dan Truttmann second the motion. Motion carried and $1800.00 collected.
Plan Commission– The Plan Commission did not meet this month.
Public Comments– Jon Erpenbach sent a letter to the Board thanking them for opposing the County wide tax assessment proposal.
Old Business
- Shawn Steinmann representing Monroe Truck Equipment, Inc. and Kurt Schadewalt representing Madison Truck Equipment, Inc. each brought proposals for equipment necessary to outfit the new truck being ordered. Both proposals came in for around $60,000 each. The Town will have to have a discussion and make a decision soon. On the matter of the new truck, Steve Hermanson move to purchase an International 7500 SFA 4×2 truck from Lakeside International in Janesville with universal equipment and a 10’ box for $93,475.00, Dan Truttmann 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
New Business
- Sponsor Bill LRB1852-(Meeting Postings)-This proposed bill would allow municipalities to post agendas and notices on their website and post in only one other place. Currently the law requires posting notices in three separate locations around the municipality. The Board will phone our representatives with their support for this measure.
- Clean Up Town Hall-The Town is currently discussing selling extra chairs in the Town Hall and doing general clean up in the building. Discussion will continue next month.
Driveway Refund-Schultheiss, Jahnke-Sauer, Gehan-This matter will take place at a later date.
Adjournment– Dan Truttmann move to adjourn the meeting, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 10:35 P.M.
