Regular Monthly Board Meeting
Tuesday, June 9, 2015

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Tim Czerwonka, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Clerk Nancy Anderson, Patrolman Wade Jones, contractor Scott Thompson and citizens Chris and Jennie Henderson. Treasurer Ann Carlson was not present. Verification of proper notice was given. Steve Hermanson move to approve the May minutes, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report-The Board reviewed the May financial statements.

Bills– Nancy presented the bills to be paid. Dan Reeson move to approve bills as presented, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Patrolman’s Report– Wade has completed mowing and is now focusing on grading. In certain places the grass is preventing the water from entering the culverts. Wade will experiment by removing the grass in an area alongside the road to see if that helps the situation.

Driveway Permit-Greg Erickson (Lot 9 Gould Hill Rd.)- Builder Scott Thompson appeared on behalf of Greg Erickson for a driveway permit. Dan Reeson move to approve the application for a driveway permit for Greg Erickson contingent upon receiving a check for $1800.00 before any work begins, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Plan Commission

  1. Chris and Jennie Henderson- (Land Division on Marks property)– The Hendersons had gotten approval from the Plan Commission for a land division. The Town Board made the final approval. Dan Reeson move to approve the land division on the Marks property, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  2. Revamp Website– Todd Carlson will be invited to the July meeting to discuss changes.
  3. Approve changes to Preliminary Parcel Division Inquiry form-Dan Reeson move to approve two changes to the Preliminary Parcel Division Inquiry form, renaming it the (1) Preliminary Parcel Division Transfer Inquiry form and (2) to attach either a plat map or CSM of the proposed division transfer information, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Public Comments– Reminder that the Town Board of Review will be held on Monday, June 29th from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M. at the Town Hall.

  1. None.

New Business

  1. Time Clock Purchase– Dan Reeson move to purchase an employee time clock for no more than $349.00, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  2. Ron Erickson/Fence Viewing– The Town Board performed a fence viewing on Monday, June 8th as requested by Ron Erickson. A certified letter will be sent to the owner of the parcel with the ineffective fence giving him seven days to install a proper fence. An invoice will also be sent to cover expenses for the fence viewers.
  3. Special Assessments-The Board received an agreement for delinquent special assessments and charges from the Green County Treasurer’s office. Before the Board makes any kind of decision on this matter, Green County Treasurer, Sherri Hawkins will attend the August 11th Board meeting to fully explain what impact this agreement would have on the Town.
  4. Recycling on July 4th– The Town recycling center will be closed on the July 4th holiday. The center will be open on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
  5. New Horizons vendor for LP– The Blanchardville Co-op Oil Assn. will no longer offer LP contracts. That service will now be performed by New Horizons who currently delivers the LP. Dan Reeson checked with another carrier and a better price is guaranteed. Dan Reeson move to contract with Allegiant LP to purchase 900 gallons of LP for $.89 per gallon prepaid, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Adjournment– Steve Hermanson move to adjourn the meeting, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
