Public Comments
- The Board received an email from Terry Suthers at the Postville Blacksmith, including pictures, showing all the trash in front of their building which flies out of the garbage truck as it leaves the recycling center and travels up Postville Road. Steve Hermanson will call Pellitteri and discuss the matter with them.
Old Business
- Tim-Parcel database update solution-Tim did meet with Dawn Doran and discussed what information the Plan Commission needed and how it related to the two tabs on the spreadsheet and how it wasn’t usable by Todd Carlson, the webmaster. Dawn would do one of two things – either come up with a third tab that joins the data or a completely separate spreadsheet that has only the data that Todd would want. Tim will keep in contact with Dawn. We will revisit the matter next month.
- New Truck Bids, etc.- Finally, after again reviewing bids and estimates for trucks, Dan Reeson move to purchase a new Ford 550 truck for $99,115.00, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
- Weeknight Recycling-After discussion, Dan Reeson move to extend Wednesday recycling hours to daylight saving time start and stop dates from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. until Memorial Day and after Labor Day, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
New Business
- Steve Jorenby-Lights Estimate-Dan received an estimate for $1845. There are still a few questions to be answered before approving the estimate. Dan will contact Steve Jorenby for further clarification. The matter will be revisited again in February.
- Uses/Users for new Internet connection-The main purpose for having the Internet would be to allow the treasurer to easily process tax collections in December and January. This service is very basic, so too much use by others will result in very slow performance.
Adjournment-Dan Reeson move to adjourn the meeting, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:18 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Anderson, Clerk
