Town of York
Regular Monthly Board Meeting
Tuesday, March 12, 2019

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Tim Czerwonka, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson were all present, along with citizens Stephen VanHout, Heidi Hankley, and Bruce Sinkula. Verification of Proper Notice was given. Steve Hermanson move to approve the January minutes, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. Tim Czerwonka move to approve the February minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report-Ann noted that all the tax settlements have been paid and refunds of overpaid taxes were sent in the amount of $4833.88.

Bills– Nancy, Ann, and Steve presented bills to be paid. Dan Reeson move to approve all bills, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Patrolman’s Report-Wayne will be out trying to open some culverts blocked by snow and ice. Green County will hopefully cut some brush for the Town, but we may also rent a brush cutter for the smaller brush.

Driveway Permits– Bruce Sinkula-Pondrose Lot# 19- Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway permit for Bruce Sinkula, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. $1800.00 collected.

Driveway Refunds– Bug Tussel/Cloud 1- Since a new site has been chosen, Tim Czerwonka move to approve a full driveway refund of $1800.00 for Bug Tussel/Cloud 1 located on the Ron Strommen property, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Plan Commission-No information was available.

Public Comments-Tim received word from a citizen that his mailbox had been damaged. It turns out that he lives on a County road and, therefore, the County would be responsible for replacement or repair.

Old Business

  • Tim-Parcel database update– Tim received a new database spreadsheet from Dawn Doran which will now allow the updating of parcel transfers within the York community.
  • LP Furnace Replacement (under Town Hall)-Steve will look into the matter this coming month, and also repairing the downstairs garage door.

New Business

  • Heating Town Hall & Insulation-Steve will look into finding someone who can help us decide what can be done to improve heating efficiency in the old Town Hall building.
  • Shelving for assessment rolls– Tim will look into moving the unsightly assessment rolls to a different location in the building and what type of shelving would work best.

Adjournment– Steve Hermanson move to adjourn the meeting, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:56 P.M.
