Regular Monthly Board Meeting
Tuesday, November 13th, 2012
8:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, and Treasurer Ann Carlson. Clerk Nancy Anderson not present. Audrey Klosterman was the secretary for the meeting. Verification of proper notice was given. Dan Truttmann move to approve the October meeting minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report– Our final state transportation aid payment of $21,789.23 has been deposited to our savings account.
Bills– Wayne has purchased salt, bridge signs, markers and small parts from NAPA Auto Parts. Dan Reeson move to approve bills as presented, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.
Patrolman’s Report– The IHC truck needs injector work. Wayne will get prices on reconditioning them. The pole saw isn’t working well. Ritchie Implement is asking $584.00, and they may give us $50.00 for the old one. Dan Reeson move to purchase a pole saw from Ritchie Implement, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried. Tractor also has an oil leak and needs a new hose. Wayne will have it replaced.
Plan Commission– Friedrich’s are dividing their farm, but keeping everything west of Postville Road and the house.
Public Comments– Pigs have been in Lien’s yard again from a neighboring farm.
Driveway Refund– Chuck Guerink- Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway refund for Chuck Guerink, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried. $1000.00 to be refunded.
New Business
- Bob Bergman would like a quit claim deed on a .18 acre parcel that is deeded to the Town. Dan Reeson will check with our Town attorney.
- Trash Vendors-Steve Hermanson move to hire Pelitteri to handle our waste disposal and recycling for a three year contract, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.
- Budget Planning- Everything is essentially the same as last year with a few adjustments. The full budget will be presented at the budget hearing next Tuesday, November 22nd.
- Driveway Permit- Pete Leonard- Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway permit for Pete Leonard, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried. $1800.00 collected.
Adjournment– Steve Hermanson move to adjourn, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
