Plan Commission Monthly Board Meeting

The February meeting of the York Township Plan Commission was held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the York Town Hall. Curt Moen, Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:07 P.M. Plan Commission members in attendance were Moen, Brian Bubenzer, Linda Yates, and Terri Nipple. Others in attendance were Steve Fabos, April Prussia, Nana Showalter and Bob Bergmann.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Bubenzer made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Yates. The minutes were approved.
Old Business
- Bubenzer reported that he has been in contact with Dawn Doran regarding updating the Dwelling Unit Allotment Data Base. Dawn is willing to do the work; the Plan Commission suggests that she do it on a quarterly basis. She requested not doing any until late March due some time constraints on other projects she is doing. The Plan Commission approved her requests.
- Moen had no more information to report on the Harried proposal.
- Nana Showalter spoke to the Plan Commission on behalf of the RLCC regarding the pending CAFO Moratorium. Bubenzer made a motion to advance the Moratorium on Livestock Facilities as specified in section 5 with a positive recommendation and an expression of thanks to the RLCC for their efforts on the project. The motion was seconded by Yates. The motion passed and will be advanced to the York Town Board.
- Discussion was held regarding making a change to the Land Division/Development and Transfer Ordinance. Bubenzer indicated that he would get a copy and try to review it before the next meeting. The Plan Commission tabled re-writing it until then.
New Business
- Township resident, Steve Fabos approached the Plan Commission with questions regarding a request for a conditional use permit to change two rentals that he owns in York Township into vacation rentals. Fabos has been in contact with Green County Zoning. After discussion and some clarifications of what he is doing, the Plan Commission came to the determination that Fabos has used all his Dwelling Unit Allotments for his approximately 50 acres.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Yates, seconded by Bubenzer. The meeting was adjourned by Moen. The next meeting of the York Township Plan Commission will be held on March 1, 2016.
