Plan Commission Meeting Minutes
June 4, 2019
Curt Moen, Chairman of the York Township Plan Commission, called the June 4, 2019 meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Moen verified posting on the Township website and at the York Town Hall. Roll call was taken with Moen, Marselino Miranda, Linda Yates, Bethany Storm, and Terri Nipple all present. Also attending the meeting was Peggy Senf, and Travis and Laura Jordan.
Minutes of the June 4, 2019 meeting were read. Storm moved to approve the minutes as read, seconded by Miranda. The minutes were approved.
New Business:
Travis and Laura Jordan are requesting approval of a land transfer of two lots. This will be two transactions. The buyer/new owner will be Sawhorse Farms LLC. Legal descriptions of the two lots are as follows: Lot 1-Section 7, CSM 3959 (V15-P229) Parcel Number 23032- 01350300. Lot 2-Section 7 CSM 3710 (V14-P122) Parcel Number 23032- 01350200. Each lot has one (1) Dwelling Unit Allotment. A copy of both CSM’s were provided.
Storm motioned for approval of the land transfer for Travis and Laura Jordan, seconded by Miranda. The motion passed and will be forwarded to the Town Board.
Note: There is a discrepancy in the Section number. The Preliminary Parcel Division/Transfer Inquiry Form states that the property is in Section 6. The cope tax bill that was provided states that it is in Section 7.
Peggy Senf-Local Century 21 realtor is representing Kelly and Pam Ruschman. They are requesting approval to transfer Lot 5 in Nordic Estates to Sawhorse Farms LLC-James Van Metre. One (1) Dwelling Unit Allotment will be transferred with this property. A copy of Green County CSM #3750 and a copy of the Warranty Deed was provided. The parcel number is 23-032-0119.1000. Linda Yates made a motion to approve this land transfer. It was seconded by Miranda. Motion passed.
Vern Halverson sent a Preliminary Parcel Division/Transfer Inquiry Form to Town Board Secretary, Heidi Hankley. She forwarded it to the Plan Commission. Mr. Halverson is requesting a transfer of a parcel in section 30, Parcel #0646.0000. The parcel is currently owned by Vern Halverson and John Halverson. The form stated that no Dwelling Unit Allotment was being transferred. This statement conflicts with the intended use of the parcel which is to use as a residential home site with a shed. Storm made a motion not to approve the application as written because it did not include the transfer of a Dwelling Unit Allotment. The buyer would be unable to build their residence. Yates seconded the motion. The motion passed. Moen did not sign the application. The Town Board will be notified of the situation.
Terri Nipple, current secretary of the Plan Commission, is resigning her position as Secretary. She has served the Plan Commission as Secretary since June 2012. Bethany Storm has accepted the position. Miranda made a motion that Storm take over as Secretary on July 1, 2019. Yates seconded that motion. Motion passed. Nipple plans to remain on the Plan Commission.
Old Business:
There was no old business to discuss.
Miranda motioned for adjournment. Seconded by Storm. Moen adjourned the meeting at 8:16 p.m.
