Plan Commission Monthly Board Meeting
Wednesday, May 1, 2018
8 p.m.
Chairman Curt Moen called the May 1, 2018 meeting of the York Township Plan Commission to order at 8:00 p.m. Present at the meeting were Moen, Brandi Lyda, Marselino Miranda, Linda Yates and Terri Nipple.
Minutes of the April 4, 2018 meeting were read. Miranda moved to approve the minutes with one correction. Lyda seconded the motion. The minutes were approved.
Old Business
Chairman Moen updated the Plan Commission with information that the Animals Facilities Ordinance that the RLCC had written has now been approved by the Town Board.
In regards to Private Driveway Bridge Specifications, Moen reported that he did not receive any of the information that he requested from the Bridge Inspector. He also has not received any information from Town Board Chairman Reeson.
Moen also reported that he had gotten a phone call from Craig Miner, Pondrose Subdivision. Miner told us the website is not up to date regarding his lot. The Miners had attended the June 2017 Plan Commission Meeting. The Plan Commission will follow up on this.
New Business
The York Township Comprehensive Plan was reviewed briefly as the Plan Commission had done a more thorough review last year. Our main focus was to bring our newest Plan Commission member up to speed regarding the Township Comprehensive Plan.
Following the review, Lyda informed the Plan Commission that she, her husband and family were moving to Iowa for new jobs and to be closer to family. The Plan Commission thanked Lyda for her time and interest in serving the Township on the Plan Commission. The Plan Commission enjoyed having Lyda on the committee and her enthusiasm will be missed.
Miranda made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Lyda. Moen adjourned the meeting at 9:15 p.m.
The next meeting of the York Township Plan Commission will be held on June 5, 2018 at the York Town Hall.
