Plan Commission Monthly Board Meeting
Tuesday, April 5, 2017
8:00PM
The Town of York Plan Commission met at the York Town Hall on April 5, 2017. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Curt Moen at 8:05 P.M. Verification of legal posting was given. Plan Commission members in attendance were Moen, Marselino Miranda, Linda Yates, and Terri Nipple. Also attending was Donald Ferguson.
Minutes of the March 7, 2017 meeting were read. Miranda made a motion to approve the minutes as read, seconded by Yates. Moen called for a vote to approve the minutes as read with the correction of a typo. Motion passed.
Old Business:
- The ATV club did not appear at this meeting. Moen reported that the Town Board had approved the ATV request with the contingency that Adams Township approves it. If approved, they will still need to meet with the Plan Commission to get approval for their route.
New Business:
- Donald Ferguson presented his plan to divide 52 acres with a dwelling into 3 parcels. Currently there are two parcels; one is thirty five acres and one that is seventeen acres. These parcels were created August 10, 2000. There are three dwelling unit allotments. He would like to sell the home with 20 acres and divide the rest into two parcels. No exact plan yet. Moen recommended that Ferguson contact Green County Zoning regarding placement of driveways before he decides how to divide it. He has also been advised to include the disbursement of his dwelling unit allotments in his Certified Survey Map (CSM). The Plan Commission needs to see a CSM with parcel numbers for final approval.
- Miranda made a motion to approve sending the proposed land division for Donald and Gabriella Ferguson to the York Town Board, seconded by Yates. Motion approved. Ferguson has agreed to bring a CSM when it is completed.
- The remaining time was spent reviewing the proposed livestock siting ordinance drafted by the RLCC. The Plan Commission had several question and concerns. The review will continue at the May meeting.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Yates, seconded by Miranda. Moen adjourned the meeting at 9:20 P.M.
The next meeting of the York Township Plan Commission will be May 2, 2017, 8:00 P.M.
(Respectfully submitted by Terri Nipple, Plan Commission Secretary).
