Town of York
Plan Commission Minutes
December 3, 2013
The December, 2013 meeting of the Town of York Plan Commission was called to order by Curt Moen, President, at 8:09 PM. In attendance were Curt Moen, Heidi Hankley, Todd Larson, and Brian Bubenzer. Minutes of the last meeting were read by Brian Bubenzer. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Heidi Hankely, seconded by Todd Larson. Minutes were approved as read.
Old Business
Heidi Hankley reported that the Town Board was overwhelmed with tax issues at the current time, and were therefore unable to take action at present on any of the Plan Commission’s suggestions re the new tracking database. It was agreed that the Board will move ahead with changes to the Town of York website, and the PC will continue to work on proofing and modifying the relevant ordinance. Terri Nipple has sent PC members a “track change” version of the most recent version of the ordinance, and the PC will review and make comments prior to their January 7, 2014 meeting.
New Business
Curt Moen raised the question of whether or not $500 of new driveway permits goes into the RLCC fund. The matter was discussed, and it was agreed that new residential permits do result in $500 payments to the RLCC Fund.
Heidi Hankley unveiled the new version of the online tracking database, and the PC spent the majority of the remaining meeting reviewing and discussing the site, which was created by Driftless Analytical Services, LLC. The committee discussed some text for the introductory page, and a few minor changes to site.
The PC discussed the issue of duplexes, and how they might be accounted for in the new website.
Heidi will check with Nancy Anderson about records of residences constructed after passage of the April, 2004 ordinance, and it was agreed that the date of the issuance of the building permit should be used for the purposes of the tracking database.
The next meeting of the PC is scheduled for January 7, 2014.
Todd Larson made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Heidi Hankley. The meeting was adjourned at 9:08 PM.
(Repectfully submitted by Brian Bubenzer in the absence of Terri Nipple, Secretary.)
