Town of York Plan Commission

The July 2, 2013 meeting of the York Township Plan Commission was called to order at 8:05 P.M. by Curt Moen, President. Verification of proper notice was given. In attendance were Curt Moen, Todd Larson, Brian Bubenzer and Terri Nipple. Also present at the meeting were Steve Hermanson and Debbie Fairbanks. The secretary’s report was read. Brian moved to accept the minutes. The motion was seconded by Todd Larson and the minutes were approved as read.
Steve Hermanson presented a land division request to the Commission. He did not have a CSM, but planned to have one by the time he would need to meet with the York Town Board. This request concerned selling a portion of a piece of land that he acquired in April. There are no density units involved in the transaction. Steve will keep a portion of the land which will rectify an anomaly on one of his parcels.
Brian moved to advance the Hermanson request to the York Town Board in recognition of the fact that this is a rational rectification of an anomaly discovered and is totally consistent with the Town of York Vision Statement. The motion passed and the request will advance to the York Town Board.
Debbie Fairbanks presented a plan to the Commission that she and her husband, David have regarding possible division of their property in order to sell their present home and some acreage and build a new home for themselves on the remaining acreage. The Fairbanks property has 2 density units.
The Fairbanks have not yet obtained a CSM. The Commission the advised the Fairbanks to research driveway options because of a possible shared easement and to determine how they want to handle their two
density units. This should be done prior to finalizing a CSM. The Fairbanks were advised by Curt that we need a CSM before we can recommend their request to the York Town Board.
The PC reviewed the maps provided by Chip and Heidi Hankley regarding the Parcel Tracking project. The PC had some questions which could not be answered due to Heidi’s absence. The discussion will be continued at the August meeting.
The next meeting of the York Township Plan Commission will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.
Brian made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Todd. Curt Moen adjourned the meeting at 8:50 P.M.
