Plan commission Monthly Board Meeting
Tuesday, June 6, 2017
8:00 p.m.
The June 6, 2017 meeting of the York Township Plan Commission was called to order by Chairman Curt Moen at 8:02 P.M. Verification of Legal Posting was given. Plan Commission members in attendance were Moen, Brian Bubenzer, Marselino Miranda, and Terri Nipple. Other attending were Dan and Diane Ziehli, Bruce Sinkula and Cyndi Brown, Bethany Storm, Nana Schowalter, Bob Bergman, Craig and Debbi Miner.
The minutes of the May 2, 2017 meeting were read. Miranda made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Bubenzer. Minutes were approved.
New Business:
- Land Division Proposal-Dan Ziehli (representing Barbara Moen) presented a proposal to purchase 3 acres off of the north side of Barb Moen’s property. This is land that borders Ziehli’s property. There will be no dwelling unit allotment transferred with the proposal. Bubenzer made a motion to advance the proposal to the Town Board pending submission of the proper paperwork that the township ordinance requires. Motion was seconded by Miranda. Moen will sign the forms if Ziehli brings them to him prior to the June 13 Town Board meeting.
- Pondrose Holding Company-Craig and Debbi Miner-Dwelling Unit for this proposal is grandfathered in. Moen signed the Preliminary Parcel Division/ Transfer Inquiry Form. The owners will take the paper to the Town Board meeting next week.
Old Business:
- Town of York Large Livestock Siting Ordinance drafted by the RLCC-A couple of minor revisions are made by Plan Commission members. Miranda made a motion that we forward to the Town Board the draft of the Livestock Ordinance with the recommended corrections and additions. Terri Nipple seconded the motion. Motion passed.
- Bridge Specifications for residential driveway bridge-Discussion regarding “standards” was held. More information will be looked at in July. No action taken.
- Considerations for streamlining data base updates-Discussion by Plan Commission members. Brian Bubenzer made a motion that the Town Board give Dawn Doran administrative access to the website for the purpose of updating dwelling unit allotments on the data base. Motion seconded by Miranda. Motion passed.
Public Comment
- Public Comment-Bubenzer expressed deep appreciation on behalf of the Township for all the hard work the RLCC put into researching and writing the Town of York Large Livestock Siting Ordinance.
A motion by Miranda, seconded by Bubenzer, was made to adjourn the meeting. Moen adjourned the meeting at 8:56 P.M. The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
