Town of York Plan Commission
May 7, 2013

The May 7, 2013 meeting of the York Township Plan Commission was called to order at 8:10 P.M. by Curt Moen, President. Roll Call was taken. Attending the meeting were Heidi Hankley, Curt Moen and Terri Nipple. The secretary’s report was read and corrected. A motion was made by Heidi and seconded by Curt to approve the minutes of the last meeting. Minutes were approved.

Heidi reported that she had attended the May Town Board Meeting. She told the Commission that the board did approve a bonus for Dawn Doran for her efficient work on the tracking on land parcels. We learned that the board is interested in retaining Ms. Doran for future work, if she is needed.

Heidi updated the Commission on the land tracking project by giving example of types of discrepancies that will need to be resolved in the near future. She stated that Chip Hankley will try to map the discrepancies and that the Plan Commission will need to determine how we will handle each type of discrepancy. A discussion was held on possible ways to resolve some of the discrepancies, but no decisions were made at this meeting.

The Plan Commission feels that the York Town Board should maintain the data base once it is finalized. The Plan Commission also plans to write an ordinance that requires that all land transfers come through the Plan Commission.

Heidi said she would e-mail the Town Board, and PC members Todd Larson and Brian Bubenzer to update them on the tracking project.

A discussion was held about meeting with the other local townships, but we decided to postpone holding such a meeting until farm members on the Commissions are not so busy with field work or until Chip reported back.

Heidi made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Terri seconded the motion and Curt adjourned the meeting at 8:55 P.M.

The next meeting will be held on June 4, 2013.

Respectfully submitted by Terri Nipple, Plan Commission Secretary.
