Minutes of York Township Plan Commission-
May 6, 2014
York Town Hall

The May 6, 2014 meeting of the York Township Plan Commission was called to order by chairman Curt Moen at 8:02 P.M. Present at the meeting were Curt Moen, Brian Bubenzer, Heidi Hankley, Marselino Miranda, and Terri Nipple. The minutes of the April meeting were read by Terri Nipple. Brian Bubenzer moved to accept the minutes as corrected. Heidi Hankley seconded the motion and the minutes were approved.

In old business, Heidi Hankley raised a question regarding clarification of the criteria for grandfathering in dwelling unit allotments. After considerable discussion, the PC recommended adding the following to the Land Division Transfer and Development Ordinance.

“Parcels of twenty (20) acres or greater are allowed (1) dwelling unit allotment per twenty (20) acres. If there is a pre-existing dwelling on the parcel built prior to April 2004, this dwelling does not count against the dwelling unit allotment. Parcels less than twenty (20) acres, having a CSM prior to April 2004 are allowed one (1) dwelling unit allotment.”
Hankley made a motion to add this eligibility criteria to the ordinance. Miranda seconded the motion. Motion passed. Hankley will advance the proposal to the York Town Board at their May meeting.

Brian Bubenzer needed to leave at 8:40 P.M. Prior to his departure, he suggested that we have an attorney change the wording in the ordinance if it needs changing.

As considerable meeting time was spent on old business, the PC decided to postpone work on a method to keep the data base updated.

Hankley made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:12 P.M. Miranda seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned by Moen. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.
