Regular Monthly Board Meeting
Wednesday, August 13, 2014

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson. Verification of proper notice was given. After a minor change, Dan Truttmann move to approve the July, 2014 minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report– Ann Carlson distributed the July financial reports, noting that we had received payments for our State Transportation Aids in the amount of $21,789.22, State 2% Fire Dues for $3414.22, and Shared Revenue for $1077.93.

Bills– Wayne Bue and the clerk presented monthly bills to be paid. Dan Reeson move to approve the bills, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.

Patrolman’s Report– Wayne is finishing mowing roadsides. The rear tires on the Freightliner truck should be replaced soon.

Driveway Permits

  • Jeremy and Joann Weber (off North Hay Hollow Rd.)- Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway permit for Jeremy and Joann Weber, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried. $1800.00 collected.
  • Schultheiss/Jahnke-Sauer/Gahan- Since this is a driveway repair, $500.00 for the Land Conservation account will not be charged. Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway permit to Schultheiss, Jahnke-Sauer and Gahan, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried. $1300.00 collected.

Plan Commission– No Report.

Public Comments– The clerk reported that after filing an application, the Wisconsin Disaster Fund has awarded the Town of York $2016.00 to offset cleanup costs of the June 16, 2014 tornado damage. Nancy also noted that new voting equipment will be purchased next year with each municipality in Green County paying for their own machine priced somewhere between $8000-$10,000. We will need to budget that amount for next year. After training, the equipment will be used beginning in 2016.

  • None.

New Business

  • Resolution to place yield sign on Poplar Grove Road- Dan Truttmann move to approve a resolution to place a yield sign on Poplar Grove Road near Highway 39, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Resolution approved.
  • New Assessor Contract- Dan Reeson move to approve the 2014 – 2017 contract between the Town of York and Gardiner Appraisal Service, LLC.
  • Review Patrolman Applications-After reading through many resumes, the Board agreed on four persons they would like to interview, plus one alternate. Dan Truttmann will arrange a schedule for next week.

Adjournment– Dan Truttmann move to adjourn the meeting, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
