Regular Monthly Board Meeting
December 9, 2014
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, Clerk Nancy Anderson, Patrolman Wade Jones, Rural Insurance Representative Craig Kamholz, and citizen Tim Czerwonka. Verification of proper notice was given. After a minor correction, Dan Truttmann move to approve the November minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report– Ann Carlson reviewed the financial statements with the Board noting that we received our final shared revenue for this year from the WI Department of Revenue.
Bills– Both Wade and Nancy presented bills to be paid. Dan Reeson move to approve the bills, Dan Truttmann 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Patrolman’s Report– Wade noted that the tractor bucket needed a hydraulic repair. He expressed concern about the Freightliner truck’s transmission. It seems the truck is too light for all the attachments it carries causing the transmission to overwork. Steve will do some research and try to make contact with other municipalities that use the same type of equipment and what, if any, their concerns are. Also, Pomp’s Tire will be replacing two truck tires at a cost of $430 each.
Plan Commission
- Hire Dawn Doran for database updates- The Plan Commission is hoping that Dawn Doran will be willing to do database updating once or twice per year.
- Vacancy on Plan Commission- Heidi Hankley has officially resigned from the Plan Commission for personal reasons. Board members will be contacting some York citizens to find out if one of them would be willing fill the vacancy.
Public Comments– Nancy noted that Dan Ziehli would be willing to be a relief snowplow driver.
Old Business
- Implements of Husbandry (IOH)- The Board reviewed the options allowed for the IOH, and decided to settle on Option F. Dan Truttmann move to approve Option F for the Implements of Husbandry, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried. In addition, Steve Hermanson move to appoint the Town Chairman to issue and review any permits related to the IOH, Dan Truttmann 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
New Business
- Craig Kamholz/Insurance Police Review- Mr. Kamholz reviewed the insurance carried by the Town of York. After discussion, Steve Hermanson move to increase the blanket building limit from $113,773 to $178,873, and reduce the trucks coverage from $87,000 and $120,000 to $50,000 and $100,000 respectively, Dan Truttmann 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
- Information on Shift Differential Pay- The Board read the information that Iowa County has adopted, but will stay with the current method of paying wages to the patrolman.
- Adopt 2015 Budget-Dan Truttmann move to approve the 2015 budget as presented, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
- Set Caucus Date- Steve Hermanson move to hold the Caucus on January 20, 2015 at 8:00 P.M., Dan Truttmann 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
- Adjust Wayne Bue’s rate of pay- Dan Truttmann move to set Wayne Bue’s rate of pay back to $19.25 per hour, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Adjournment-Dan Truttmann move to adjourn the meeting, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 10:10 P.M.
