Regular Monthly Board Meeting
August 15, 2018

The meeting came to order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Tim Czerwonka, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson and Treasurer Ann Carlson. Clerk Nancy Anderson was not present. Also attending were Scott and Gail Phillips, Ana Larramendi, Jeff and Cheryl Gahan, and Connie Fox. Verification of proper notice was given. Steve Hermanson move to approve the July minutes, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report-Ann presented the July financials. The Town received its fire dues payment for $4016.55, the third quarter State transportation aids in the amount of $24,588.78, and a Managed Forest Law payment in the amount of $1273.15.

Bills– The bills were presented. Dan Reeson move to approve the July bills, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Patrolman’s Report-Wayne has mowed for the second time and cleaned up some damaged trees. The tractor needs new front tires. Dan will start pricing new trucks to replace our eighteen year old IHC. Steve will look at other options for a new truck and work on selling our grader.

Driveway Permits-None.

Driveway Refunds

  • Rhett Zaretzke (Sawmill Rd. Lot #10) – Since Rhett doesn’t plan to build a home, Dan Reeson move to refund $1500 to Rhett, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  • Scott and Gail Phillips (N8226 Cty J) – Dan Reeson move to approve a $1000 refund to Scott and Gail Phillips, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  • Kyle Ruden (Cty A & Cty J)– Dan Reeson move to approve a $1000 refund to Kyle Ruden, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  • Brian and Robin Baker (Prairie Brook-Lot #3)– Dan Reeson move to approve a $1000 refund to Brian and Robin Baker, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  • Bruce Sinkula-(Pondrose Estates Lot # 19)– Since Bruce Sinkula is planning to build a home, but has not yet done so, and his driveway permit has expired, he will pay a $30 extension fee to continue the permit for another full year.

Plan Commission

  • Ana Larramendi-Conditional Use Permit-Ana Karramendi is planning to use a second garage on her property as a class meditational facility. Tim Czerwonka noted that Ana is a member of the Home Association for those up on Badger Road, and home businesses are allowed. Tim Czerwonka move to approve a Conditional Use Permit for Ana Larramendi, Dan Reeson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  • Jeff & Cheryl Gahan-Parcel Transfer Request-They are selling a lot. Dan Reeson move to approve a Parcel Transfer for Jeff and Cheryl Gahan, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Public Comments

  • Heather Jorenby on Hay Hollow Rd. has a road wash out. Wayne knows and will repair it.
  • The last day for Wednesday recyclers is Wednesday, September 5th.
  • Connie Fox attended the Plan Commission meeting last week stating that their property doesn’t show a dwelling unit, but should. It will be put on the September agenda.

Old Business

  • New Internet Connection for Real Estate Tax software program– Steve Hermanson move to purchase a US Cellular High Speed Internet plan for 2 GB @ $15 per month, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  • Toppled Grave Stone at York Cemetery-Dan Reeson move to pay up to $600 toward the stone repair, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

New Business

  • Todd’s Estimate for Parcel Data Base Revamp– Todd provided an estimate of $180 for web database updating. Tim Czerwonka move to pay Todd Carlson $180 for work on the database on our website, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  • Roads/Transportation Resolution-The Board reviewed the Resolution, but struck a line that suggests bonding be part of this resolution. Dan Reeson move to approve the Resolution as amended, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  • Annual Newsletter-Carrie Czerwonka is happy to put together another newsletter for us. Final deadline will be hopefully by the end of October, with publication in November.

Adjournment-Steve Hermanson move to adjourn, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:47 P.M.
