Regular Monthly Meeting
Tuesday, December 13, 2016
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Tim Czerwonka, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson. Verification of proper notice was given. Tim Czerwonka move to approve the November minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report-Ann presented the financial reports, noting that we received our final shared revenue payment in the amount of $6108.30. In addition, the Town received a managed forest payment of $2356.43, which was over and above any expected payments.
Bills-Nancy presented bills to be paid, which included fire department annual charges and per diems for Plan Commission members and Rural Land Commission Committee members.
Patrolman’s Report-Dan Reeson reported that the heater in the old plow truck was not working and will be taken down to Lakeside for repairs. Also, the new tractor brakes are not working to the Town’s satisfaction and will need some adjustments. Dan Reeson move to pay for the new tractor after the brakes are working to the Board’s satisfaction, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Driveway Refunds- Bernhard Schultheiss has not cashed his driveway refund check which was issued in July, 2016. Nancy spoke with Stephanie Schultheiss who claims she and Bernhard never received a check. Dan Reeson move to put a stop payment on the outstanding check, reduce the payment by the amount of the stop payment charge, and reissue a new check, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Plan Commission
- Bob Helmeid Land Division– Bob had received approval at last week’s Plan Commission meeting and was seeking final approval from the Town Board. Dan Reeson move to approve the CSM for Bob Helmeid’s land division, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Public Comments-Dan Reeson received some information from Green County about improving Broadband service in the area. Tim Czerwonka will look into the matter.

New Business
- Sign Blanchardville Fire Department Contracts– After reviewing the fire and ambulance contracts Dan Reeson move to approve the 2017 Blanchardville fire/ambulance contracts, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
- Schedule caucus between Jan. 2nd and Jan. 21st– Steve Hermanson move to hold the caucus on Tuesday, January 17th at 8:00 P.M., Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
- Wages for part time patrolmen-Since Travis Leonard will be the main snowplow patrolman/supervisor his wage should reflect the additional responsibility. Steve Hermanson move to approve a wage of $16.50 per hour for Travis Leonard, and wages of $14.50 for helpers Matt Jorenby and Eric Peterson, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Adjournment– Steve Hermanson move to adjourn the meeting, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
