Treasurer’s Report-Ann presented the financial statements, noting that we received a forest crop payment in the amount of $6003.65. Other than that, it was a fairly uneventful month.
Bills-Nancy presented bills to be paid. Dan Reeson move to approve the bills, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Patrolman’s Report– Wayne is almost done mowing along the roads. The mower suffered a couple of flat tires. Wayne will have foam inserted in the tires which should prevent future problems. The foam installation will cost $45 per tire.
Driveway Permit-Scott Littell-Big Tussel Wireless- This item has been rescheduled for the July 11th meeting.
Plan Commission- Dawn Doran- Dawn is trying to find the easiest way to update the parcel data base on the Town website. With help from Curt Moen, Tim Czerwonka, and Todd Carlson she should be able to find an efficient way to update the data base directly.
Rural Land Commission Committee–Review Livestock Siting Ordinance– After gaining approval from the Plan Commission, the RLCC brought the document before the Board for review. Tim Czerwonka suggested a number of small changes to the document which the RLCC agreed upon. The next step will be to have legal counsel review the document, and then a public hearing would be scheduled so that citizens may review, ask questions, and have any concerns answered by the RLCC before it is adopted.
Public Comments– Nancy noted that donations for the Historical Marker for Green’s Prairie Cemetery have reached $1196.00. The goal is $1860.00. Others wishing to donate to the cause may send a check made out to the Town of York and mailed to the Town Clerk. An email from Ed Toal was sent to Dan Reeson expressing his displeasure with the way the recycling center is being managed.
New Business
- Kim/Cindi Peterson-Recycling Issues- Kim and Cindi are proposing several new signs to help and direct citizens when they visit the facility. Also, a barrel will be available for plastic bags. The bags are continually flying around the area making a huge mess for the supervisors and the patrolman. If the bulletin board can be improved so items posted there don’t blow away, it, too, can serve as an information and learning center for visitors.
- Dan/Diane Ziehli-Purchase land from Barb Moen- Dan Reeson move to approve the land purchase from Barb Moen to Dan and Diane Ziehle, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
- Craig and Debbie Miner-Purchase of Lot #14 in the Pondrose Subdivision– Dan Reeson move to approve the purchase of Lot #14 to Craig and Debbie Miner, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
- Add list of snowplowing contractors to website- Members of the Board will check around to find contractors interested in snowplowing for private citizens in the Town of York and will report back next month. If a list can be compiled, it will be added to our website.
Adjournment– Tim Czerwonka move to adjourn the meeting, Dan Reeson 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:12 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Anderson, Clerk
