Town of York
Regular Monthly Board Meeting
Tuesday, June 12, 2018

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Tim Czerwonka, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, Clerk Nancy Anderson, and Eric and Kandi Adrian. Verification of proper notice was given. Steve Hermanson move to approve the May minutes, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report-Ann noted that May was a relatively slow month with little activity.

Bills-Nancy presented bills to the Board. Dan Reeson move to approve the bills, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Patrolman’s Report– Our patrolman is busy mowing along the roadsides. Steve noticed that some places have low overhanging branches. Steve and Pete Leonard will be removing whatever they can reach.

Driveway Permit

  • Kandi and Eric Adrian (Pondrose Estates-Lot 20)-Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway permit, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. $1800.00 collected.

Plan Commission

  • Recording Property Transfers on Website-Dawn Doran will be invited to attend the July Plan Commission meeting to devise a firm, workable plan for recording property transfers.

Public Comments– Nancy read a thank you note from Lyle Klosterman for being recognized at the Green’s Prairie Cemetery program on Memorial Day for his many years of service to the Town of York as a supervisor and getting the Prairie Enthusiasts group interested in maintaining our one acre prairie cemetery.

  • None.

New Business

  • Possible payoff of truck loan-Dan Reeson move to pay off the $64,066.12 remaining on our truck loan, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
  • New Internet Connection for Real Estate Tax software program-The Board is trying to determine if a router would work in the Town Hall. This matter will be addressed again at the July meeting.
  • Toppled Grave Stone at York Cemetery-Apparently, a grave stone was damaged this past winter while snowplowing. The Board will have the person who repairs damaged stones for the Green’s Prairie Cemetery to give us an estimate as to the cost to repair the damaged stone. We will revisit the matter at the July Board meeting.
  • Pellitteri/Recycling Problem-Through no fault of our own, Pellitteri was unable to open the lock to enter the facility and now wants to charge the Town an extra trip out to the facility. Steve Hermanson will call to try to straighten out this matter.

Adjournment-Steve Hermanson move to adjourn the meeting, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
