Regular Monthly Board Meeting
March 14, 2017
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Tim Czerwonka, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Ann Carlson, and Clerk Nancy Anderson. Others attending included John Halverson, Kevin Ferguson, Eric and Amanda Wagner, Andrew and Beth Culp, Larry Klosterman, and Jeff Moen. Verification of Proper Notice was given. Steve Hermanson move to approve the February minutes, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report-Ann Carlson presented the February financials.
Bills-Nancy presented bills to be paid. Dan Reeson move to approve the bills, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Patrolman’s Report-Dan Reeson reported that Wayne Bue had a new blade put on the new town truck, and that some tree trimming has been completed by the Green County Highway Department.
Driveway Permits
- Kevin Ferguson (Builder) Lot 25 Prairie Brook Subdivision– Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway permit to Kevin Ferguson, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried, and $1800.00 collected.
- Eric and Amanda Wagner Lot 1 Pondrose Estates– Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway permit to Eric and Amanda Wagner, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried, and $1800.00 collected.
- Andrew and Beth Culp Badger Rd.– Steve Hermanson move to approve a driveway permit to Andrew and Beth Culp contingent on a bridge plan, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried, and $1800.00 collected.
- Larry Klosterman (not on agenda) came to inquire as to whether or not he would need a driveway permit for his Badger Rd. farm before removing the old farm house and replacing it with a new one. Dan Reeson had previously viewed the current driveway and found it acceptable in its present condition. No further action would be needed.
Plan Commission
- Pecatonica ATVers use of Town Roads– Jeff Moen, representing the Pec ATVers came before the Board seeking permission to use a portion of Gould Hill Rd. and Sawmill Rd. going into the Towns of Argyle and Blanchard in Lafayette County in order to access the ATV trail. After some discussion, Dan Reeson move to approve the use of the four wheelers ATV’s on both Gould Hill Rd. and Sawmill Rd. going into Lafayette County, contingent on approval by the Town of Adams, Steve Hermanson 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
- Winden Farm-Surveyor John Halvorson came before the Board for approval of the CSM of the Winden farm. After some discussion and map reading, Dan Reeson move to approve the CSM, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried.
Public Comments-Tim Czerwonka received an inquiry about keeping horses in the Town. Dan Reeson had already replied, noting that the Town of York has no ordinance for the number of animal units allowed, but should also check with Green County Zoning. Tim also asked the Board if they knew who to contact for servicing the steel recycling bin now that the company has been sold. The recycling supervisors would need to know that information. The company is still named Behr Iron & Metal but is now owned by an Alter Company from Rockford, IL.
Adjournment-Steve Hermanson move to adjourn the meeting, Tim Czerwonka 2nd the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
