Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting
December 14th, 2010

The meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. Present were Chairman, Dan Reeson, 1st Supervisor Dan Truttmann, 2nd Supervisor Steve Hermanson, Treasurer Nathan Ula, and Clerk Nancy Anderson. Verification of proper notice was given. After a minor change in the November minutes, Dan Truttmann move to approve the November minutes, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.

Bills- Wayne presented a number of bills for chips, shelving, mailboxes and back fill for the new salt shed. Steve had one for concrete work for the salt shed. Dan Reeson move to approve the bills, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.

Patrolman’s Report- Wayne reported that the equipment is working okay, and he ordered four more loads of chips.

Plan Commission- The commission did not meet in December, and no representative was present.

Public Comments- Neighbors on Badger Rd. bought the lot for sale for $18,000. The road should now belong to the Association, and the covenants have been changed.

Old Business

Salt Shed- The building materials are scheduled to arrive on December 20th, and work should begin immediately.

Approve 2011 Budget- Dan Truttmann move to approve the budget as discussed at the November 23rd budget hearing, Steve Hermanson 2nd.

Approve Alternative Claims Procedure Ordinance- Dan Reeson move to approve the Alternative Claims Procedure Ordinance as presented at the November 23rd public hearing, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.

November 23, 2010. Dan Reeson move to appoint Ann Carlson as the new temporary treasurer, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.

Compensation- Steve Hermanson move to pay Ann Carlson $2200 for the December, 2010 through April, 2011 period, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.

New Bank Signature Card for Ann Carlson- Dan Reeson and Nancy Anderson signed the approval card for Ann Carlson to make deposits and withdrawals from the Woodford State Bank account, replacing former Treasurer Nate Ula’s ability to do the same.

Patrolmen Wages– Part time patrolman Eric Peterson’s wages are currently $12.50 per hour and full time patrolman Wayne Bue is being paid $16.50 per hour. Dan Truttmann move to increase the part time patrolman’s wages to $13.50 per hour and the full time patrolman’s wages to $17.50 per hour, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report- Income included Recycling $208.15, Inspection Fee $50.00, Shared Revenue $8144.39, Election reimbursement $54.00, Motor fuel tax refund $423.33, and interest on account $34.90. After payroll and bills were paid, the balance was $132,776.99.

Set January Caucus Date– Steve Hermanson move to hold the caucus on January 18th at 8:00 P.M., Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried.

Reduce number of recycling dumpsters- Four dumpsters are currently at the recycling center, but because more people are separating their aluminum cans, not as much is going into the actual recycling bins. However, it seems to be the policy of Waste Management to issue a new three year contract each time a change is made.

Landfill ban on oil filters/other oil laden materials- Beginning January 1, 2011, oil filters and other oily materials will not be allowed in the dumpsters. Safety Kleen would provide a 55 gallon barrel for $90.00 for collection of these items. Possibly two a year may be needed. Dan Truttmann move to get an oil filter dumpster from Safety Kleen for $90.00 per fill, Dan Reeson 2nd. Motion carried.

Driveway Refund- Mark Meisberger (Jeremiason Lane)- Dan Reeson move to approve a driveway refund for Mark Meisberger, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried. $1500.00 refunded.
