Treasurer’s Report– The Board reviewed the Profit and Loss Budget and felt that the Town appeared to be right on track for the year.
Bills– Wayne presented bill for concrete blocks $295.40, blacktop for Nick Miller, and sprays from Helena Chemical Co. Also, there should be two loads of gravel for Dan Truttmann plus one hour of tractor work for Wayne Bue ($45.00). Dan Reeson move to approve the bills, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.
Patrolman’s Report– Wayne is still cleaning up brush and needs more work to be done on the John Deere tractor.
Old Business
The list of materials for the shed repairs is being compiled and an advertisement for bids will soon go out for publication in both the Platteville and Monroe Shoppers.
Plan Commission– Todd Larson told the Board that the Plan Commission is talking about a signage ordinance to determine size and placement of signs such as those for subdivisions, keeping visibility and safety in mind. A section of the ordinance should be devoted to violators. The Commission also continues to discuss tracking parcels and density units. If the Town can put a restriction on the deed before it is signed, then it stands to reason that it would have to be recorded by the Register of Deeds.
Public Comments– None
Driveway Refund– Scott Davis Letter, Jeff VanMatre/Tony Gardner- The Scott Davis letter was “returned to sender”, so Steve Hermanson move to forfeit the refund to Scott Davis, Dan Truttmann 2nd. Motion carried. Dan Reeson move to approve the driveway refund of $1000.00 to both Tony Gardner and Jeff VanMatre, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.
New Business
Consolidation for DNR Recycling Grants– It appears that the Town of York will need to join with another Town in some recycling activity in order to qualify for grants in the future. However, the payment will only be $.33 times the population of 790 which gives us a grand total of $260.00. Steve Hermanson will call the DNR to find out exactly what we can expect.
Ad/Application for recycling supervisor– Karen Hughes will be leaving the area soon, so the Town will place an ad in the local papers for a replacement for her.
Rip Rap Bridge at Sawmill/Gould Hill Rd– Dan Reeson move to hire Green County to rip rap by the bridge on Sawmill/Gould Hill Rd. at a cost of $750.00, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried.
Adjournment– Dan Truttmann move to adjourn the meeting, Steve Hermanson 2nd. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:25 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Anderson
