Town of York Plan Commission Regular Meeting Minutes
October 7, 2026 7:00 PM (CST)

Call to Order: Chair John Knicker called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Dan Truttmann, John Knicker, Jessica Peterson, and April Prusia.
Verification of Proper Notice: Agenda was posted on the website and on the Town Hall memo board.
Public Comment: Topic of donation of public spaces was discussed.
Review of October 7, 2026, Plan Commission Meeting Minutes.
Motion: John Knicker moved to approve the minutes; seconded by Dan Truttmann. Motion carried.
Business Items
Land Division Request – Cody Kanable, Parcel #230320055100: Cody Kanable presented a proposed land division for Parcel #230320055100 pursuant to Sections 11.A(1) and 11.A(2) of Town of York Ordinance No. 2026-04. The proposal would divide approximately 0.75 acres from the existing 11.24-acre parcel to create a separate lot containing the existing residence, septic system, and well. The remaining acreage would be retained for future residential construction.
Motion: Dan Truttmann moved to recommend that the Town of York Board approve a variance from the minimum 1.5-acre lot size requirement to permit the creation of a 0.75-acre parcel as proposed. Motion seconded by April Prusia. Vote carries.
Vierbicher presented a Development Database Evaluation Process Flowchart and proposed database format.
The topic of the Town Board’s discussion of Dark Sky ordinance was discussed. This initiative was included in the Town of York Comprehensive Plan.
The topic of the ordinance #2026-04 Town of York Subdivision and Planning Ordinance application and fee schedule from Town Board meeting was tabled..
The next Plan Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2026, at 7:00 pm.
