Minutes of Monthly Board Meeting
Tuesday, April 11, 2023
Please Note: These Town Board meeting minutes are posted as draft-only to inform town residents of the topics addressed at the board meeting. These minutes are subject to review and possible revision at next month’s Town Board meeting and should not be considered official until they receive final board approval at that time.
The meeting was called to order by Dan Truttmann at 7:10 pm. The meeting was held in person and as a video conference on Zoom. Chairman Dan Truttmann, 1st Supervisor April Prusia, 2nd Supervisor Travis Leonard, and Clerk-Treasurer Marilyn Zipsie were present. Verification of proper notice was given.
Public Comment- John Knicker inquired as to the best way to get questions about an ordinance to the Board, and he was instructed to email Chair, Dan Truttmann.
Minutes of 03/14/2023 Town Board Meeting – Minutes for the Tuesday, 03/14/2023 Town Board Meeting were reviewed. Dan Truttmann moved to approve the 03/14/2023 Town Board Meeting minutes as presented; second by Travis Leonard. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report – The Treasurer’s Report was presented. Dan Truttmann moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented; second by Travis Leonard. Motion carried.
Bills- Marilyn Zipsie presented bills to be paid. Dan Truttmann moved to accept the bills as presented; second by Travis Leonard. Motion carried.
Patrolman’s Report- Lance Moen reported that the state salt inspector visited and that everything looked good. It was recommended that a monthly inventory be kept. Lance reports having cleaned up dead and downed trees as well as clean-up to the Town Hall grounds. Gravel had been put down on Emberson Lane for pothole fill. Cleaning of culverts has started.
Weed Commissioner Report- Aaron Gifford had nothing new to report.
Plan Commission Report- Bethany Storm had nothing new to report. With Aaron Gifford having now been elected as 2nd Supervisor, he has stepped down from the Plan Commission. New members for the Plan Commission will be sought.
Business Items-
Solicit Plow Truck Bids – The Board discussed the current bid from Lakeside International for a new plow truck. Options were discussed. Dan Truttmann moved to order a 2025 HV607 plow truck, proposal number 4964-01, for $131,667.64; second by Travis Leonard. Motion carried.
UTV Ordinance Follow-up – Travis Leonard will be meeting with a representative from the Green County ATV Club about obtaining signs.
Land Division Ordinance — Dan Truttman reports having spoken with Attorney Larry Konopacki about potential options to the ordinance. The Board agreed that Attorney Konopacki would be invited to an upcoming Plan Commission meeting to review these options.
Updated Tech for the Town Hall – Bids are in. Estimated date of completion is June.
Adjournment- Dan Truttmann moved to adjourn; second by Travis Leonard. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:33 pm.
