Town of York Plan Commission Regular Meeting Minutes
January 14, 2026 7:00 PM (CST)

Call to Order: Chair John Knicker called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
Roll Call: Dan Truttmann, John Knicker, April Prusia, Jessica Peterson and Charlie Umhoefer.
Verification of Proper Notice: Agenda was posted on website and on Town Hall memo board.
Public Comments: Travis Thompson, N8733 York Center, Blanchardville, WI, attended to ask questions about the proposed land division ordinance. He owns 5 parcels, 130 acres and inquired about several examples for splits.
Review of December 17, 2025, Plan Commission Meeting Minutes. Dan Truttmann moved to approve the minutes; seconded by Charlie Umhoefer. Motion carried.
Business Items:
- At the January 13, 2026 meeting, the Town Board tabled approval of the Proposed Land Division Ordinance until February 2026 meeting.
- Dan Truttmann approved sending the draft Outdoor Lighting Limitation Ordinance to town attorney for review and comment. John Knicker will also reach out to other outside experts to review the draft Outdoor Lighting Limitations Ordinance and provide feedback.
- John Knicker will contact town attorney for recommendations on how to proceed with possible noise/nuisance ordinance draft. April Prusia will contact Green County zoning department to research any existing noise ordinances.
- Town Board did not assign any additional initiatives to Plan Commission.
- Plan Commission to discuss implementation steps and policy regarding Land Division Ordinance once it is adopted.
- Dan Truttmann to review terms for Plan Commission.
- The next Plan Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 7:00 pm. The website will be updated to reflect 2nd Wednesdays for Plan Commission meetings.
Adjournment: Charlie Umhoefer moved to adjourn at 7:45 pm; seconded by April Prusia. Motion carried.
