NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTION OF
TOWN OF YORK 2022 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE

TOWN OF YORK, GREEN COUNTY, WISCONSIN

Please take notice that a Public Hearing and Consideration of Adoption for the 2022 Town of York Comprehensive Plan Update will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 beginning at 6:30 pm by the Town Board and the Town Plan Commission.

The proposed Update to the Town of York’s Comprehensive Plan includes changes to the sections on Land Use, Economic Development, and Agriculture, as well as an update to the Future Land Use Map. The current comprehensive plan was adopted by the Town in 2005, and to comply with the State requirement that comprehensive plans be updated at least once every 10 years a series of public hearings and community taskforce meetings developed updates to the plan.

Copies of the proposed update are available for review at the Town of York Hall, N8105 Postville Road
Blanchardville, WI 53516. The plan is also available on the Town of York’s website at
https://townofyork.org/download/plan_commission/comprehensive_plan/2021-12-14-DRAFT-2022-Comprehensive-Plan.pdf. The public is invited to speak on the proposed update at the Public Hearing. Written comments may be submitted prior to, or at the public hearing. Any questions, written comments, or requests for a copy of the proposed update should be directed to the Town of York Clerk-Treasurer, Jessie Schlumpf, 608-516-2788, or clerk-treasurer@townofyork.wi.gov. Written comments will be given the same weight as oral testimony and be part of the public record. Written comments need to be received by the end of the day on Friday, February 4, 2022.

The Plan Commission and Town Board will review the comments received prior to adoption of the plan update. The Plan Commission and Town board may take action to adopt the Comprehensive Plan Update immediately following the public hearing.
